Situated in the heart of Manville, NJ, Antigua Restaurant offers an authentic and vibrant taste of Latin American cuisine with a special focus on fresh, home-cooked dishes that delight the senses. This cozy, mom-and-pop eatery creates an inviting atmosphere where the warmth of the service matches the soulfulness of the food, making every visit feel like a special occasion.
The menu is a celebration of bold, comforting flavors that transport you to the vibrant streets of Central and South America. Their pupusas stand out as a must-try, crafted fresh right before your eyes with melted cheese, beans, and revueltas, boasting a perfect balance of crispy and chewy textures. The Quesadilla de Asada and Tacos de Pollo are served with fresh pico de gallo and crema, offering an exquisite combination of savory, smoky steak or tender chicken that feels both indulgent and wholesome.
To complement these dishes, Antigua Restaurant offers a delightful range of natural drinks that burst with authentic flavor. Imagine sipping on the cool, slightly tart Jamaica hibiscus flower drink or the creamy, subtly spiced Horchata rice drink, each sip refreshing and comforting like a gentle breeze on a warm day. Their shakes, such as the rich & smooth Banano or the tropical sweetness of Maracuyá, round out the meal beautifully with their luscious textures and vibrant taste.

Service was great. The chef was friendly. And the food was not only good but also good price. I called in an order of 2 Pupusas and Bandeja Paisa and can say that it fed me and my wife well.

I ordered pupusas and a tamale. The pupusas were made fresh right in front of me. They were delicious as was the tamale. Delicious and a great deal. I had horchata to drink. Perfect, not too sweet. Definitely going back.

Small mom & pop restaurant with great food. Our only complaint was the beef steak was cooked a little too much, it’s thin so a little cooking on each side would’ve been good. The service was great. Our server was super attentive and friendly.

I’ve eaten here several times but, I never posted. Today, I wanted a quick snack before I went to Walmart. This place never disappoints. I ordered papusas (cheese, beans and revulatas), chicken tacos and tamales (chicken and pork). These tamales were huge. Had the real banana leaf. Papusas cooked right on the spot. Everything! Cooked in front of you. Plus, I got the pineapple and the Jamaica drinks. Delicious! For the price you get a tremendous amount of food. This is a small place but, definitely worth the trip to come eat here.
